The last of the line for the iconic 70s Muscle GT Falcons.....The XB GT!

Arguably the most refined of the original series GTs, The XB had unmistakeable road presence with its Ram-Air style hood scoops, and colour coded bumpers, This genuine XB GT was no exception and was loaded up with a lot of very desirable period options, including Power steering, Factory "Selectaire" A/C (currently non functional) Power operated Windows, twin sports mirrors, Tinted Glass all round, and is finished in one of the most desirable and stunning period colour combinations of Apollo Blue metallic over Silver Accents, complemented by a full black interior.

This genuine survivor GT is running a strong and responsive nicely detailed 4v 351, which is coupled to a 4 speed Top Loader manual transmission, replacing the originally optioned auto, and on into the factory equipped disc brake 9 inch rear end, The entire package performs strong, and leaves no doubt that you are driving an authentic piece of genuine Australian Muscle Car history....

The body on this GT appears solid and clean, with nice clean presentable paintwork, the odd chip and mark are evident, as would be expected at this age, but the overall presentation is very nice for a genuine survivor car of this calibre.

Fitted with a genuine early set of period Globe alloys, this GT really looks the part.

Originally sold new in Australia, which would explain the high level of options, this GT was imported to NZ in 1986 and remains on its period black licence plates, and having clearly been treated well throughout the last forty years remains a good drivable and thoroughly enjoyable investment.

Sadly Ford will no longer be building GT Falcons from now on, so it would be fair to assume that fact certainly won't have a negative effect on the prices of the ones they did build, especially those from the seventies.......
