This super cool old timer has a great history....

Believed to have been originally sold brand new in sunny Nelson this old girl was in long term ownership until sometime in the early seventies when it was mildly rodded to become a very well known local car, as per the period photos from the seventies.

This solid old Tudor has clearly had a very good life, its survived the decades largely unscathed, and has retained good old "Flathead" power its entire life!

The clean old body is very solid, and presents well with older but well maintained paintwork in gun metal grey metallic, the interior is presentable very durable, and tidy for the age, with all of the original gauges still functioning in the dash as Henry intended.

Sold by us some time ago this old girl was running a good stock flattie with the original 3 speed, and as good as that combination was it has recently had a small fortune spent on it back in Nelson having a hot Flathead installed...

The traditional mill is a 54 8BA bored 60thou over with a high volume oil pump, and adjustable lifters, running a Mallory dual point ignition system, and a high torque starter, the old flattie looks fantastic complete with finned polished Offenhauser heads, and a functional triple carb manifold, with 3x97s, the motor has done around 10,000 miles since the rebuild, and was rebuilt at a cost of around $20k.
Coupled to this combo is a Ford C4 trans, with a Locar shifter, shift kitted with a 1200 stall, which was a full bolt up conversion kit from Flathead Jacks, at a cost of around $2400 US.
Also fitted is a Hot Rod Works open diff conversion, ladder bar set up, new Ed Junior steering box, topped off with an Ididit column, and a 40 wheel.
The braking system has been upgraded to include front disc brakes, and a new Speedway Motors brake booster and master cylinder have also been fitted,
The result is one very cool and very usable 39er, that will put a smile on your face!
Performing well beyond its years, this old darling really is a fun car to drive, the attention to traditional detail and sympathy for the original unmolested body is evident throughout, with the modifications having all been completed to a high standard, with full LVVTA certification for complete piece of mind,

Wide whites, solids, and new caps round out the low stance and period Hot Rod Cool look of this neat old 2 door, which has the benefit of being just about as cool as a coupe with the added bonus of a full back seat!

Full on family hot rodding doesn't get much better than this!

A fully sorted, turnkey all steel hot rod with great local history, well under its replacement cost today, and its Right Hand Drive!
