The Iconic Big Fifties car that will probably always be remembered for all the wrong reasons, but that makes it even more cool!

Fords luxurious Edsel was unfairly criticised for its unique looks and forward thinking when it was released, not many were originally built by Fifties standards, and as such not many have survived today, with even fewer making it to our shores,

Love or hate the looks, the passage of time has helps to make it a very cool car today, and a genuine piece of Ford's automotive history, with a really interesting back story.

This old darling is a Ranger 2 door Pillar less Hard Top model, and is essentially a full size 59 Ford with its own totally unique styling, it basically has all of the mechanical features of its lesser Fairlane cousins, as well as some nice creature comforts, like power steering, and the trusty old 292 Y-Block V8.

This example has been in the nice dry Marlborough climate with the same owner for many years, and there wouldn't be many gatherings around the South Island she hasn't been to making her a very well known car.

The body on this old girl seems very solid throughout and although an older cosmetic restoration now, it still presents very well today, it has the small odd mark and bruise as would be expected, but still has a decent shine and some custom art work and graphics adorning her in period style, with a mixture of rechromed and original trim adorning the big bold body, and that trade Mark unmistakable Edsel Smile!

The interior is clean and tidy having clearly had some cosmetic work in the past, and everything is pretty much where it should be, along with a CD player for those cruising tunes.

A really neat old cruiser, the strong sounding Y-Block ticks over well, shifting into an automatic transmission, and sounding fantastic with tuned length headers, and some decent mufflers giving her a real cool tune.

Full bench seating means you can get everyone in this old girl at once, get all the windows down, and she really is hard to beat for family fun cruising.

A lot of car for the money, it's always a safe bet, she even has the fuzzy dice! and she's ready to cruise to your local burger run or beach hop right now!

Call today for more information on this cool old cruiser.
