This old school Hot Rod really has the look!

Built many years ago, this traditional 50s style Roadster captures the style and character of a period in Hot Rodding that's making a huge comeback, this is a well proven very drivable example that isn't too preciously restored to be used the way a good hot rod should be used, painted in black satin suede with a cool patina and just the right amount of wear, this old 36 really is a proper old Hot Rod !

The custom body has undergone extensive work, with replacement panels where necessary, and all fabrication work having been carried out in steel,(full steel car, including rear guards) the roof line has been chopped 3 inches, with a full stainless steel frame folding as per original, the screen has also been laid back to give a better profile, and the roof has been re-contoured, for a sleeker profile,and is trimmed in Mercedes cloth, with a zip out rear window,

The running gear carries on the traditional theme and consists of a 276 cube 59A Flattie with a 3 5/16 bore, 4 inch stroke, Merc crank, steel strong back centre main, 3/4 cam 77B spec, Mallory distributor,adjustable tappets, one piece guides, stainless valves, Isky springs, Melling high flow oil pump, pressure fed oil filter, Speedway motors water pumps, Triple 94 carbs, electric fuel pump, pressure regulator, and Edelbrock finned heads, with ARP head studs, with a 4 row radiator, thermostats, and an electric fan for cooling,

This is all running through a 3 speed Ford Top Loader, all syncro box, fitted with an early Ford top shifter and a diaphragm clutch, to an open drive shaft, and through to an Atkinson cloned Quick change Flathead diff, of 3.32 ratio, fitted with 49 Bonus truck axels, and 48 brakes, with a Model A rear spring fitted to clear the quick change, and tele shocks have been fitted all around, with 39 Ford hydraulic brakes up front, with an H2 master cylinder,

Up front a dropped I beam, with 36 spindles, cross sprung, and an HQ steering box has been mated to the 36 column, all coming together to give this old timer a very pleasant old school Hot Rod feel, and sitting down low on a nice set of Solids with dress rings, stainless caps, and period 15 inch cross plys, this old Hot Rod really looks the part!

This is a very well sorted user friendly Roadster with tons of character, and a neat patina, its fully LVVTA certified, and is being offered at well under its replacement/ build cost today...
