Undeniably one of the ultimate legends of all of the Muscle Cars to come out of the USA in the seventies...The iconic 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T!

Made famous by the movie "Vanishing Point" the 70 Challenger R/T has reached cult status, and is now one of the most recognised and desirable American Muscle cars of our time.

This particular example is a very special car in its own right being a genuine documented V-Code 440 Six-Pack 4 speed, second only on the pecking order to the mighty 426 Hemi, and good luck buying one of those without a Lotto win!

This example started its life in the Hamtramck plant on the third day of October 1969, for the 70 model year, and was optioned from new with the following specifications...

E87 -440 Six Pack (Three Two Barrel carburettors)
D21 4 Speed Manual Floor shift Pistol Grip
D58 - D91 4.10 Sure Grip Dana 60 Diff.
And the all important A34 "Super Track Pac package" option, including the 4.10 ratio 9 3/4 Dana sure grip, (currently running a more civilised 3.54 ratio) Hemi" suspension Handling package, and Power disc front brakes.

These are only some of its many options, but I'm sure you would agree the most important ones....

This is a well known local CH CH club car that has been here in NZ for a number of years, and has been maintained to a high standard mechanically being very user friendly and still performing just as impressively as it should!

Overall this example would be best described as an honest original survivor, it has never been restored as its never needed it (which is remarkable considering this aint no old ladies Chevy Impala grocery getter!) it's been enjoyed, but clearly always appreciated, so as such is showing signs of general wear with the odd blemish and mark around her body and paint, yet still presents very well, and is not so precious in the paint that you wouldn't want to drive and enjoy it.

The interior is in exceptional order for its age, and appears to be mostly the original material, with the usual expected minor sun cracks in the dash cover , but over all presents very well, and even the original radio still works as does the clock!

The bright work and chrome on the exterior of this magnificent Machine is aged with the chrome showing nearly 50 years of polishing, but still presents well over all, and adds to the flavour of this authentic and genuine Muscle Car.

This is without doubt the real deal, with its original fender tag, and it would be virtually impossible to find another one like it, and if you did you certainly couldn't import it and have it registered on the road here and looking this good for this price...

Inspection will impress a genuine buyer, not a concourse show car, but a solid old survivor with the dead right credentials...and it's available today....

Please Note: Any pricing is subject to change without notice at the discretion of Moorhouse Muscle Cars. Some product pricing is indicative only and has been determined based on the available properties of this vehicle, which may not be accurate.
