Once upon a time they were on every second street corner, but any of these old girls that have survived the decades are now a highly desirable iconic Kiwiana classic!

Popular for a reason, these XB Fairmont's are just so easy to live with, and easy drive with their big comfortable arm chair seating and power steering, and compared to their XW XY elders that are now almost unaffordable to the mortal man, these cars still represent a lot of car for the money.

This old survivor presents well over all, and appears to be pretty solid, and although she's clearly been enjoyed over the years, the body is relatively honest, and the paint is ok from the point of view that it's still shiny and quite presentable, but as it hasn't been touched for many years, comes complete with the odd blemish and a bit of sink back here and there, but it's also not a $50k car either.....yet.

The engine ticks over nicely, with a 4 barrel carb and headers, and with the twin system this one really sounds the part.

The interior has been refinished a few years ago with cloth inserts, and still presents very well, with a good tidy overall appearance.

Factory green tint windows would have been quite a rare option on a NZ new Fairmont, and are a desirable option to have, and refreshingly this example still retains all of the Fairmont chrome and trim, which is not easy to find today.

Genuine Old School Cragar SS wheels and raised white lettered tires give this old girl the traditional 80s look, and set off nicely against the Jewel Green Metallic of the exterior.

A lot of car for the money, simply either drive and enjoy this one as it is, and watch your investment grow, or with a little TLC this example could easily be taken to the next level as it appears to have good bones, and would respond well to a bit of cosmetic attention.

Either way you're not really going to go wrong with this one, and they are just becoming harder and harder to find, so here's your chance!
