The iconic timeless and unmistakable shape of the C3 Corvette Stingray!

One of the best shapes to ever come out of the USA in the late sixties, these cars where an absolute sensation, they looked fast standing still and you never forget the first time you saw one in person and how good it really looked!

This stunning example of the breed is a very well known and well respected local Christchurch car which has been in the same respectful care of the same lady owner for over 20 years!

A lovely old survivor with a clean body and nice very presentable paintwork, this example really looks stunning in the flesh!

The running gear consists of a previously rebuilt period 350 ci engine which is believed to be a proper early LT-1 engine according to the Corvette specialist who rebuilt it, which has been bored 30 over, fitted with a new LT-1 cam and windage tray, and has also been fitted with roller rockers, a new carb, new radiator, proving itself on many occasions to be a pretty tough and reliable all round package .

While the engine was out the brakes were given the once over with new stainless sleeves, while a rebuilt power steering pump and new hoses was fitted, and a new clutch was also installed along with new ring gear and a rebuilt starter.

The original matching blue Deluxe interior is still largely all in place, with the stunning cockpit inspired dashboard and gauges that these early cars are famous for, with genuine leather seating, deep pile carpets, and wood grain accents completing the package, and of course this example comes complete with the detachable T-Tops and removable rear window.

A nice driver with decent manners this is a clean no nonsense survivor C3 with power disc brakes, and power steering, and with the Hurst shift four speed it drives well, with that classic Seventies Muscle Car appeal.

These early chrome bumper C3 Stingrays represent a lot of car for your money by comparison to almost anything from the States from the period, and really are a very underrated classic Muscle Car at the moment, but when you consider what a C1 or C2 is worth today, these fantastic looking cars are well overdue to get their turn....... so here's your chance.

A good old Stingray that looks stunning in a great colour combination, with lovely chrome, complemented by proper correct wide rally's and big BFGs for that classic look, and this one is a proven reliable driver.
