What an absolute honey of a wee car, the original English Mustang!

This remarkable old survivor has been in long term lady ownership right here in Canterbury for many years, and has previously been the subject of an extensive restoration at the panel and paint shop the owner part owned at the time, so is presented with beautiful paintwork in its original Silver Fox metallic hue complementing the lovely straight body, and has a very clean original interior that has had minor refurbishment to bring it up to a really nice clean standard.

The cosmetic restoration that has been carried out includes the engine bay which has been sympathetically restored to its original style including the now rare factory air cleaner, along with the boot area which is now fully carpeted throughout, while new rubbers trims and fittings where added wherever necessary, along with a mixture of refurbished and very good original trim and bright work around the exterior.

The lovely crisp and very willing Cross flow 1600 in GT form offers up great performance and is still more than capable of holding its own in the traffic today, and with this unit coupled up to the original close ratio Capri gearbox this old Capri instantly reminds you why these cars were so popular in their day.

Sitting just right on period deep dish highly polished chromed Rostyle wheels shod with nice wide rubber this little Capri looks like it's doing the business just standing still, and will put a smile on the face of any red blooded Kiwi old enough to remember just how cool these cars were back in the day!

A cool little blast from the past and still a very usable and timelessly styled classic even today, and with this example being offered at well below its replacement to this standard today, how could you go wrong?
