The iconic 57 Chevy! quite simply one of the all time greats !

This gorgeous old 57 Bel Air Sports Sedan would have certainly been a classy lady in her day finished in the stunning Dusk Rose metallic with the contrasting Ivory White top.

Being a high grade Bel Air model, this one came with all of the fruit of the day, including the highly desirable power steering option, and appears to have been ordered as a factory Power Pack car with 4 barrel 283 V8 engine with the duel exhausts, and still retains the unique fittings fixtures and tell tale signs of the sought after package, including the original manifold as part of the sale.

The smooth and very willing 283 V8 has been treated to a alloy intake and a new Edelbrock carb, while the transmission has also been sympathetically upgraded from the old Power Glide two speed to a rebuilt TH350, and both the engine and trans have receipts for previous rebuilds along with extensive receipts for other work carried out both in the US, and here in NZ.

From the extensive original purchase photos, receipts and supporting documentation accompanying this old 57, which includes the original title and 1957 sales invoice, it appears to have been a very genuine honest example prior to being imported into NZ in 2012 from its home state of California, and appears to have only needed a decent cosmetic make over in the past, so still retains most if not all of its original trim and chrome bright work which is still in good order, and she has been refinished in the original colours with a complete new correct brocade trim kit fitted in stunning black and silver which is nicely protected by the factory tinted windows.

A really nice driver with lovely manners on the road this gorgeous old 57 has clearly had a large investment in both time and money in the past been fitted with a highly polished set of the ever popular Torque Thrust alloys, and sits down nicely on them looking simply stunning.

An affordable alternative to the two door hard top, yet retaining a similar striking profile with the Sports Sedan roofline, you can instantly see the attraction in these cool looking cars.
