Now for something really different!

This cool old locally built Hupmobile Hot Rod Coupe has been around the local Rodding scene for many many years, and as such has had many updates in that time as trends and tastes have changed, yet refreshingly it still retains its original steel body shell!

This well known local car has been in the same ownership for years and has recently been fully LVVTA certified for all of the modifications, it has also been completely repainted along with custom flame work graphics, and fettled to the standard it presents in today, which is arguably the best it's ever been.

Starting with what is belived to be the original Hupmobile chassis, this unit was then fully boxed for strength and fitted with an HT Holden independent front suspension assembly, P76 Leyland power assisted disc brakes, and a rack and pinion steering unit for better steering and driving capabilities.

An ever trusty 9 inch Ford rear end takes care of putting the power down, and the impressive power comes from a very lively well detailed 350 small block Chevrolet engine, running a traditional style Weiand Super Charger, through to an auto gearbox, and the entire package performs very well, with plenty of power on tap, and over all decent road manners for an old school Hot Rod.

The original steel Hupmobile body has been fully steeled out throughout, and fitted with later style door catches so that everything fits and works the way it should. Some neat custom touches have also been carried out including a custom side opening hood with vented hood sides, and an electrically operated cowl vent, while full tinted glass is fitted throughout the cabin along with a full custom cloth velour interior trim set, and a custom dash layout, with a Lokar shifter to round the package off nicely.

The beauty of this old Coupe is that you won't be arriving at your local Hot Rod show along with several other examples of the same car, this is probably the only Hot Rod 30 Hup Coupe you are ever likely to see!
