This old darling is a New Zealand new Deluxe Sedan from the first year of NZ production of the Ford V8 from the Wellington assembly plant, in the good old days when we built cars here too!

She would have no doubt served as a faithful servant for many years before being rodded in the late Seventies Early eighties, and as such would have been one of the better cars to choose from when there was still a choice!

Previously sold by us in the past this old girl is pretty much stock standard in the bodywork and still retains all of the unique styling that made these cars an instant favourite, the original V8 chassis has been boxed and is running the old period favourite HT Holden front end, and a 327 Small block running into a TH350 and on into the trusty 9 inch Ford diff, pretty much the tried and trusted combination of the Eighties, and still performing just as well today.

The body is solid and reflects a pretty decent existence with everything pretty much as Henry intended it, all of the fenders are steel and the body has no evidence of major surgery having been carried out anywhere at any point.

The paintwork although an older lacquer finish still presents well with the odd blemish and mark as would be expected, but still very honest and tidy.

The interior in this old girl is traditional Eighties Hot Rod and is finished in deep buttoned plush red valour velvet, with matching carpets and door trims, it screams 1970s and still looks pretty cool even today, again presenting very well throughout.

Olds school chrome wheels with bigs and little's complete the package and give just the right look rake and stance.

This old Hot Rod is a very usable example of an affordable family hot rod that you can actually get out and drive pretty much anywhere, there wouldn't be too many roads she won't have seen in her 79 years of cruising around the country, and she's still got plenty of Hot Rodding memories left in her yet !
