How cool is this old school Hot Rod!

Being NZ new this super cool old 47 Ford is Right Hand Drive making it a proper old piece of Kiwiana, and she's been a Hot Rod for many years.

According to the original ownership papers which come with the car this sweet old 47 was sold new in Balclutha and first registered there on the 25th of March 1947!

Having spent its entire life in the deep South and dry central Otago areas the solid clean old body is in remarkably good order, confirming that this was a obviously a very good car to begin with, which still shows throughout today.

The older paintwork presents very well in the striking Deep Purple with a seventies style flamed nose job giving her a distinctive look and leaving little doubt she's a proper old Hot Rod!

Starting underneath the original Henry Ford chassis has been strengthened and modified to accept a disc brake Holden independent front suspension assembly with a Commodore rack and pinion, and cradled between the rails is a nice running mildly detailed 327 Chevrolet engine, with an auto transmission running back through to a trusty 9 inch Ford diff in traditional leaf springs, so this machine gives a decent ride with plenty of power and reliability from the tried and tested drive train.

The very tidy interior is trimmed out in an old school theme as well, and is in really nice condition with pearlescent vinyl custom trim over high back bench bucket style seating, with wall to wall plush carpeting throughout the huge lounge, and full lap diagonal recoil seatbelts front and rear, while the door trims have also been covered in pearl vinyl to match the custom theme, with a really nice cloth hood lining fitted, and the original neat looking Ford dash layout still in place, and looking really cool.

This neat old Hot Rod is a well known car around CH CH having been owned by a local hot Roding family for a long time providing reliable and comfortable transport to its lady owner to many car events throughout the country, and proving itself to be a completely user friendly fun car, with plenty of space for everyone, and as offered today represents a lot of turn the key and enjoy Hot Roding for the money...

Fully LVVTA certified for all upgrades, this is a completely sorted old car and as such would be very hard to replace to this standard today at this price....
