How cool is this staunch looking early Split Screen GMC Pick Up!

A really nice example of the popular early style Pick Up in the 3100 style, this cool rig has been modified very tastefully remaining true to its roots but with modern performance far beyond what its makers originally intended...

It is generally a lot harder to get a good old Pick Up looking this good as this as opposed to a car, buy nature these things where born to be absolutely worked into the ground, so when you see one like this you can really appreciate the work involved...

This example came to NZ from the good old US of A as a fully built Hot Rod Pick up, but since arriving here it has received a lot more attention to the tune of a new crate 350 with a decent lumpy cam that is certainly very willing to offer up impressive performance, and coupled up to a new 700R4 automatic, and through into a custom 9 inch ford diff, she's built tough.

The now custom original chassis has had an all new fabricated fully independent front end installed with adjustable coil over's and tubular arms along with a power steering rack and pinion unit and power disc brakes, with the big Ford 9 inch suspended in a custom four bar set up, also with adjustable coils and a pan hard rod, making this truck quite an impressive package, and a very decent over all performer.

The body has clearly had an extensive restoration to be presented as it sits today, with a neat rolled rear pan and lots of subtle mods, before being shot with a lovely coat of 2 pac paint in a traditional classic sweet cream colour which contrasting with the big fat black solid wheels really suits the style and traditional appeal of this cool rig.

A genuine Fulton Visor has been added for the traditional look while the deck area is finished in highly polished timber set in stainless trims with a Shelby race inspired flip top fuel cap leading to a fuel cell.

The interior is functional and tidy with a full bench seat trimmed in GM brocade while the door trims are timber panel in line with the work truck attitude, with a Grant steering wheel mounted to a tilt steering column sitting proudly in front of a custom gauge package to monitor the goings on.

A very cool looking truck which is being offered today at well below replacement, fully LVVTA certified and ready to go.
