The iconic F-1 Pick Up, one of Fords biggest sellers and one of the hardest working trucks of all time!

The first generation F Series trucks helped the good old US of A get back on its feet after the war, and were built with one thing in mind, to work and to work hard, but it also didn't hurt that they were a nicely styled neat looking truck, and as time has gone on they have become both desirable and hard to find in reasonable order driving prices up accordingly.

The 1952 model we have here had what was referred to as the Five Star Cab, and had a little more styling to the front than the previous no nonsense Bonus model, proving to be a step in the right direction for Ford.

This old girl is a genuine old survivor, it's been a worker all of its life and proudly displays the fact with dents dings and well used character throughout.

To make this example a lot more user friendly without losing the charm of the truck this one has been retro fitted with a small block 289 V8 coupled up to an automatic transmission, and feeding back into a trusty 9 inch Ford diff, so it's a bit more lively today than the old original Flattie, yet still retains its authentic flavour and appearance with its original sturdy bullet proof suspension.

The body appears solid and has been finished in a satin black colour rubbed through for the old school patina look that is so popular today, and it looks really cool, with the added bonus that you won't be scared to use this one as Henry intended!

The 289 seems very happy in its work, and is fitted with a semi high rise alloy performer manifold with a new carb , HEI distributor and alloy radiator for relative performance and more durable general reliability.

The interior is protected by tinted glass, and the original old bench seat has been treated to a rustic tweed material, while the original dash board now houses aftermarket custom vintage style gauges to monitor the important goings on.

Sitting on a neat set of slightly wider steel rims with dress rings and caps and decent radials this old girl is all flashed up and ready to leave the farm to go to town!
