The absolutely timeless 50s icon that is the 1957 Chevrolet "Bel -Air Nomad"!

This well known local Nomad is a simply stunning example of the breed and displays beautifully, having been complemented and admired by many folk at our local car events.

This Nomad has been here in NZ for some time having been imported back in 2007, and has obviously received a fairly extensive older restoration of what was clearly a good clean car.

The body is very straight and appears to be very solid throughout, having been professionally refinished in a the gorgeous combination of Tropical Turquoise with an Imperial Ivory top, which is arguably one of the very best period colour combinations of the era.

The running gear has been sympathetically upgraded to include a sweet running 350 ci Small block engine, coupled to a column shifted TH350 automatic, while power disc brakes up front, and power steering have been added for total driver comfort and ease, making this one a real pleasure to drive with lovely over all manners on the road.

The impressive interior is finished in a neat tweed cloth with a power operated bench bucket style front seat, custom removable console, full custom carpeting throughout, and for further driver comfort this lovely old Nomad has also been retro fitted with under dash Vintage Air Air Conditioning.

The chrome and trim is all in very nice order on this example and complements the exterior finish to perfection, while highly polished American Racing Torque Trust alloys and white lettered BFGs complete the package.

The 57 Bel Air is well known for its lavish bright work and trim, and of all the Tri-Fives is arguably the most iconic, and in Nomad form it is one of the most desirable and collectable classics of our time.

A very hard car to replace today with prices in the States reflecting the desirability of these now rare cars, and there is no risk with this one, as it's here in NZ and its fully LVVTA certified ready to go!
