This stunning ultra cool customer is as good as it looks, from the magnificent straight body to the Deep Jet Black paintwork, this car is the real deal.

Starting with what was obviously a good original old car the brief was pretty simple, less is more as they say, and this car captures that to perfection, the clean original sheet metal body was stripped back here in good old NZ, and professionally painted in Jet black to what certainly appears to be a very high standard, still presenting exceptionally well, while all of the chrome work and bright work trim also received a full restoration, or replacement where required to complement the serious investment in both time and money lavished on this gorgeous machine..

57 Bel Airs are usually well known for their bling, but this one is just a little more subtle which really works, and accentuates the clean lines and smooth style of this old gangster, giving this one a real point of difference.

The running gear is a staunch old early 283 which delivers a very healthy dose of torque from low down and pulls strong through the Hurst Shift 4 Speed manual, lifting the nose with ease through the gears!

The performance is matched by a tight rattle free body and the whole package is an absolute pleasure to drive with nice manners on the road for a proper old school 4 speed bruiser.

The magnificent interior is all restored with super cool period Stewart Warner Gauges monitoring the goings on, and the 4 speed Hurst shifter with a pool ball to remind you this certainly isn't grannies old Bel Air grocery getter....

The super clean black steel rims proper deep side wall plain black tires and dog dish caps give this 57 a unique and distinctive look, and she would look right at home lurking around some dim dark ally in the black of night, or lined up at a traffic light ready to go back in the day!
