A stunning old Girl, this 59 has clearly had a good life, believed to be from CH CH in the early days she spent many years roaming around the warm climate of the Nelson area which will have certainly played a large part in its survival today, as most of these dissolved back into the ground years ago...
An older but what appears to be reasonably thorough restoration has been carried out on this solid old 59 at some point, and although she now has a few minor chips and marks from being enjoyed, she still presents exceptionally well, and for almost 20 year old paintwork the honesty of this example gives you the added benefit of being able to see that nothing is blowing out around the body, and nothing is being hidden by fresh paintwork.. refreshingly, unlike so many cars of this era, this one is actually as good as it appears to be.
The chrome and trim is all in very decent order, not perfect, but very good over all, and everything is where it should be, and in keeping with her original design.
Extensive recent receipts in hand of over $20k which are mostly all for mechanical refurbishment, confirm that money has clearly been no object in maintaining this example to a reliable standard, she's always had everything she ever required, and more.
The interior is in lovely order having been recently refreshed in correct imported period Impala style trim, and the interior is a lovely place to sit back and enjoy the view past the so cool rocket pod style instruments of the dashboard, and out over that big bold hood.
The power for this machine comes from a lovely and nicely detailed 305 ci small block Chevrolet coupled to a three speed column shift auto, and with power brakes up front the mechanical package makes this one a real old pleasure to drive, with great road manners.
