How cool is this big 60 Coupe!

A car that needs little introduction locally....admired by all at multiple shows and events throughout Canterbury and beyond over the years this impressive machine is the result of the passion of a local hot rodding family that have bagged many trophies for the cabinet with this beauty!
A consistent top 10 car, taking out its first top 10 at the 2011 NZHRA Street Rod Nationals and placing as top street machine at the same event, this machine has seen its share of admirers over the years, but has also been driven and enjoyed so certainly isn't a hidden trailer queen.

Originally coming in from its long term owner in California in 2008 this magnificent Hard Top was selected for its complete and clean appearance, but as is often the case a bit of a general tidy up to put her on the road here in NZ turned into something a little more....it wasn't so much the car had any real issues rather its perfectionist owner simply count help himself....

The solid body was stripped completely back to bare metal and repairs carried out where necessary before being refinished in an absolutely magnificent Deep Sapphire Cobalt blue peal which has to be seen to be fully appreciated, before being reunited with its fully rebuilt chassis and running gear which consists of a big grumpy 454 cubic inch Big Block Chevy with a heavily detailed Magnum fuel injection system running into a TH400 transmission and on into the 12 Bolt Chevy diff with power disc brakes up front and a full custom air bag suspension system to adjust the right height to whatever your tastes may be..and as the say the attitude is all about the altitude!

All new wiring and a link ECU takes care of the unseen activities and keeps things in check, while a full new interior kit was also fitted throughout in stunning black and white hound's-tooth, with new side glass cut and fitted to the frames, with a full new rubber kit throughout.

Re chromed genuine bumpers and extensive refinished jewellery around the exterior complemented by highly polished deep dish 17 inch American Racing alloys with low profile rubber give a very impressive car a very impressive presence, and certainly make this one a real head turner.

As a now slightly older build this example can be offered at a very realistic price due to the fact it was imported and completed at a time when it was still possible to do so without breaking the bank, today it would be very questionable that you could even purchase import and build this car to this calibre again with full LVVTA certification for twice the asking price...so here's your chance to own something quite special and real value for your money.
