A rarity today but these Compacts were once a common sight on NZ roads back in the sixties seventies and eighties.

This New Zealand New example was built in Wellington in 1964 and the Lower Hutt plant back in the good old days when we actually assembled cars here in NZ....and this one has survived the decades to thankfully still be among us today!

Looking fantastic and presenting very well over all, this old doll has clearly had a lot of attention over the years and the body appears to be nice and solid with decent tidy paintwork in the deep Sapphire Blue Metallic, set off nicely with the period correct 14 inch Chromed SS Cragar alloys.

The interior has recently been professionally re trimmed in a nice cloth leatherette style with new door trims and carpet throughout, in a style consistent with the period, while a sports wheel adds a bit of comfort and a modern CD player keeps your cruising tunes in order.

Nice chrome and trim finish the exterior of this cool old cruiser, and really look stunning against the deep blue paintwork. One of the most stylish body designs the 64 was and still is a great looking car, and is arguably the best style of the early Compacts Fairlanes, with the cool vent style duct on the rear doors, and the bold Galaxie style grille and tailamps.

Mechanically this old cruiser has a great feel on the road with excellent road manners, and has that user friendly period sixties Ford character that we have come to love, due largely to this example running a sweet little 4 barrel small block coupled to an automatic trans with power disc brakes up front taking care of the stopping duties, while headers and a twin system give her that cool unmistakable V8 rumble.

A very hard car to find today, and even harder in this condition, displaying a few minor chips and marks as would be expected at this age, but this is a turnkey and drive cruiser that will bring plenty of smiles per gallon, turn heads like you won't believe, and will always be a safe place to have your money.... RHD and NZ new, it ticks all the important boxes....
