How cool is this little gem!

The good old MK 1 Gotina! Just about everyone has a story about one of these cool little cars from back in the day.

Once on every street corner around NZ, these reliable solid and dependable little British Fords where a first car for many, and provided everyday family transport for the nation. This neat little survivor has lived to tell the tale surviving the decades of abuse they usually suffered on a daily to be with us today, albeit in a slightly more user friendly form than was originally intended...

This little cracker has been repowered with a bullet proof Twin Cam 4AGE Toyota Fuel injected 1600 cc engine and T-50 5 speed manual transmission! As cool as they were to drive in the day, they certainly didnt go like this one does!

This neat Mk 1 has the traditional look with the proven reliability of an injected twin cam, its running an Escort Sport diff and disc brakes up front, so really is the best of both worlds if you actually want to drive one any real distance, or at any time you like really, anyone could drive this one, and its a car that will certainly put a smile on your face thats for sure!

The body is clean and appears pretty solid having clearly been freshened up at some point not too long ago, and the paintwork is a gorgeous sparkling metallic Sapphire blue which really looks the part.

Recently this neat Mk 1 has been treated to a new interior, with comfortable more modern bucket seats and is fitted with full seat belts front and rear so the whole family can enjoy a Sunday cruise to the local car event.

Very nice chrome and stainless trim along with new bumpers round out the appearance and the wide Mini Lite alloys look so cool with just the right amount of altitude for the attitude.

An older build now, but done nicely at the time, and as its been thoroughly enjoyed it has a few wee marks and blemishes around the exterior, but still presents very well for its age, and if this doesnt make you smile your tuned into the wrong website!

Recently LVVTA certified for all upgrades with the new on line system, this one is all set to go, and go it does!

Well worth a look if you want the old school charm of a classic Cortina, but want to really use it .
