What a gorgeous iconic look!

This stunning tribute to the legendary GT350 Shelby is finished in the unmistakable hero colour scheme of Wimbledon White with the Guardsman Blue Le Mans stripes!

According to the paperwork that accompanies this gorgeous Fastback this example was a genuine one family owned car from 1965 until arriving here in NZ in 2010.

The story goes that the car was originally purchased brand new by its lady owner in 1965 in Southern California, and remained there all of its life being driven by her for over 30 years before passing to a relative who commissioned the extensive restoration as you see today.

An original Wimbledon White 289 Manual car, the temptation was simply just too much, so the restoration included turning the car into a full blown tribute to the iconic GT350 Shelby.

The body was obviously very clean an honest to begin with as the now older restoration still presents very well today, with only minor chips and wear as would be expected from being enjoyed and driven, while the honest body still retains its original floors which have been cleaned back and refinished in the original red oxide, along with what appears to be most of the original sheet metal.

The engine of choice is a staunch and nicely detailed 331 ci Roller Stroker complete with Pro Comp alloy heads and roller rockers, originally quoted @ 400 hp, but which is also now equipped with a Power Dyne Super Charger! and this very responsive unit is coupled up to a Tremac T-5 manual, and on into a K-Code 9 inch Traction lock rear end, so it's been built tough, and performs accordingly.

Shelby style under rider traction bars, big rear drums, front and rear sway bars, and Kelsey Hayes disc brakes up front along with the traditional Shelby 1 inch dropped front arms, quick steering box and HD coils ensure that the package hangs on, and generally performs just like a good old proper 60s Muscle Car should!

Complementing the gorgeous looking exterior is a nicely refurbished interior in the traditional style with deep black trim, correct style 65 Shelby Dash pod, bent Shelby style trigger release shifter, and a Shelby style Wood Rim steering wheel.

Beautiful chrome and trim adorn the exterior, and a lot of effort has clearly gone into making this Fastback really look the part, while
Deep dish Cragar alloys in the GT350 style complete the package and make this one a real head turner!

A very hard car to replace in this style and this condition today, and you would spend a lot more than the price of this one trying to replicate it today...
