This little gem didnt actually compete there though, instead it has lived a very cherished existance here in NZ,
Since being sold new in 1965 by A V Latty Ford dealers in Gore,
it has remained in very original condition throughout the decades, obviously being well cared for, driven and enjoyed,
This GT is totally authentic and complete, and is beyond doubt a genuine factory GT car, it has never been re-shelled or molested, and it still retains its original GT equiptment,including the correct original GT air cleaner,(unique to the Mk1 GT) and all of the correct gauges,anti-tramp rods, bigger brakes, down draft Webber carb(with original Ford manifold and support bracket)etc, and it is also fitted with a correct set of Lotus wide rims, and radial tires which give it a great period look,
clean tidy paintwork, and a very tidy interior, with nice exterior brightwork make this car hard to go past if your after a nice complete original example.

A real trip down memory lane, this great old survivor would be very hard to beat for its honest original condition and general feel, this is not just another restored car, its never been restored, because its never needed to be, its proudly showing the expected minor wear of a nearly 50 year old car, but its obviously had an easy life, and it still performs with that unmistakable charm and character that these cars just seem to possess,
