This stunning Candy Pearl Red 66 Notchback was sold by us many many years ago as a really nice original but weathered old survivor.
Once the fastidious new owner took delivery the car sort of went in a different direction....It was complete stripped to a bare metal shell on a rotisserie and once it was confirmed how good it actually was, the decision was made to do a full ground up nut and bolt restoration in a resto mod theme, with the brief being absolutely no expense spared with an open cheque book, just make it absolutely stunning everywhere.

Enter the late Kim Mitchel who was well known and respected throughout the local hot rod and custom car industry for his intense attention to detail, and methodical methods.
When Kim became project manager, rest assured no stone was left unturned.

To say this Mustang has a nice straight body and excellent paint would be a gross understatement...
The body work and panel fitment is second to none, they were simply never this good new, and the standard of finish on the paintwork is absolutely stunning.
Everything received the treatment, inside outside underside absolutely everything, and this car is almost still as good underside as on top with nothing escaping a serious detailing, right down to all of the chrome horse logo bolts in the engine bay, all running the same way of course...

All new trim and fittings where lavished on this Notchback and a full custom hand stitched leather interior is a simply fantastic place to sit back and enjoy the ride.

Powering this little Honey is a heavily detailed stroked 342 cubic inch small block engine coupled to a lovely shifting automatic trans with power disc brakes and power steering rounding out the package.
Included in the build was fully integrated Air Conditioning and custom white face instruments for ease of use.

Although a slightly older restoration now the quality of workmanship and subsequent treatment this gem has received over the years makes for a lovely well sorted and fettled package that would still be more than capable of winning accolades and awards if thats your thing.
