Hows this for a cool old survivor?

What a cool car and what a story....A genuine one family owned NZ new 1967 Chevrolet Impala Right Hand Drive Sedan! Yes, In the one family for almost 60 years!

Purchased new in Papakura and registered in December of 67 this magnificent black beauty was pressed into duty making a living and earning its keep as a Bridal car and Limousine with South Auckland Transport as part of a fleet of similar 67 Kiwi new Impalas, how cool would that have been back in the day!

This dear old girl for whatever reason was clearly the favourite of the fleet, and after a long and faithful period of service through until the late nineties according the documentation, stayed on with its owners, serving as a family car for many years after its retirement.
A very honest unrestored example, this old Chevy still has a great over all appearance and presence on the road, displaying well for a car that has never been restored, but has clearly been loved.
The big body appears straight solid and sound and the paintwork still has a reasonable shine for very old well-polished well used paintwork,
The brightwork and trim all appears to be original and as would be expected there is a reasonable amount of bumps wear and imperfections in general around the car if you want to be really hard on it, but you have to remember 1967 was a while ago...and everyone who sees her today agrees it really all just adds to the character and charm of this proud old Chevy.

The interior is original or very close to it with only the odd maintenance having been performed over the years to keep her nice, and the interior has the same honest enjoyed original charm as the exterior.
Powered by the bullet proof old small block and 2 stage power glide on the column she does exactly that, glides down the road, floating along happy in her work and making you feel like your driving your couch!
A lot of recent maintenance and a considerable investment has been lavished on this old girl by the family recently and she has been getting used a bit more of late having spent a bit of time in dry storage, however life changes and the reluctant decision has been made that its time for her to go onto another chapter in her life, so if you have been looking for a good honest Kiwi 67 Impala then this example is well worth a look, you would go a long way to find a more complete unmolested honest one.

A very cool and rare example with a great recorded history of its long decent life, not many of the big Kiwi 67s made it out of the late 90 alive, and today they are usually either mint restored cars or complete basket cases, or worse still LS tunnel rammed on air bags...so this is a really rare opportunity.
