Originally sold new on the 26 of September 1967 by Bolton Motors Ltd of Nelson, who were one of the largest and oldest GM dealers in the country at the time, it would be fair to assume that you would have been pretty proud to be driving this old darling around when most other people would have been driving old four cylinder pom bombs at the time!

This magnificent old Impala has clearly lived a very cherished existence, it is a genuine three owner car (two in the same family) that has spent the bulk of its life in the dry sunny Nelson climate, and short of a closed door repaint in the original colours around 20 years ago has remained completely unmolested and remarkably original.

The big body is very straight and appears very solid with some of the nicest original trim and brightwork we have ever seen on one of these big cars.
The delightful old 283 V8 is lovely and willing coupled up to the bullet proof two speed power glide Automatic transmission, and with the factory power steering it feels like your driving around sitting in your lounge suit!

The original interior is in very nice order showing a little genuine patina but generally presents like a car half the age, while the original RHD dash is all intact and still wearing its original finish.

Recently released from long term ownership of a well-respected old school mechanic, this lovely old Chevy is a joy to drive with plenty of space for the entire family to enjoy a decent road trip.

If you have been looking for a good one of these then you may have just found itnot a perfect concours show winning car, but better in our opinion, because its never been pulled apart and molested, sure it has a few chips and bumps from being enjoyed, but its a true survivor and she wears them with absolute pride.
