The luxury Mustang!

The Mercury Cougar from 1968 was a stunning looking car on release being the more upmarket and sophisticated sister to the iconic Ford Mustang, this example is even more special being the factory optioned High Grade genuine body Code 93 XR-7 model, and as such is absolutely loaded with extra goodies.

This XR-7 has a full deluxe luxury interior complete with wood grain accents, centre and roof consoles, and a full complement of gauges including a tachometer, oil pressure gauge, factory clock, (which still works!) and cockpit inspired toggle switches, all set into a plush full width padded dash layout.

A very honest survivor example this clean old Cougar was ordered new as a J-Code 302 4V high performance model, and still retains almost all of its original components throughout the engine bay, including the factory Ford A/C, and also ticked on the options list was the factory power assisted disc brakes, and power steering.

The clean straight original body appears solid and very sound, and is still presented in the original Sunlit Gold metallic colour, which looks great complemented by a plush black vinyl roof.

Full face spinner style hubcaps were another XR-7 styling cue, and this Cougar still has them fitted wrapped in period style white lettered tires.

A very honest lovely driving example with excellent smooth road manners this lovely old Cougar would be an absolute pleasure to cruise around on the weekend in!

A rare car now, and very difficult to find in this condition anywhere today....
