This gorgeous Grecian Gold survivor GT is a pleasure to bring to the market, having been here on our shores for 35 years! with long term ownership and a well documented history.

The XW was the First of the Big Bold in your face GT Falcons, the XR and XT were a great start to the iconic legend, but the 351 engine, big stripes scoops and spoilers were the order of the day by the end of the decade and these cars made no apologies for their menacing presence on the road or the race track!

A January 1970 Built car this example remarkably retains the matching numbers 351 Windsor engine, and was born as a Top Loader 4 speed car from new. It could be argued that these lighter engine Windsor powered cars where the better handling more lively examples of the early breed, either way it's hard to argue that they look fantastic!

The original "big tag" body plate decodes as the car presents today, and that is Grecian Gold with Dark Saddle trim, and four speed manual.

The body is the correct 54h shell with its GL shock tower number present, and it was taken back to bare metal and repainted shortly after arriving here in the eighties, which is documented by several photos taken at that time.
The body appears to have been solid and dry from the detailed images and although a thorough cosmetic refurbishment was carried out and it was quite some time ago, testament to the quality of the work carried out at the time this example still presents very well today with nice paintwork displaying just the odd blemish from time spent being enjoyed over the decades, and being driven as God intended.

The original Windsor is still very lively and the top loader tight with the desirable combination leaving little doubt you are driving a proper old School GT Falcon!

The interior is largely in its original form with some cosmetic refurbishment having been carried out over the years, but retains among other items the original un restored steering wheel, dash facia and Super Fringe Push Button radio.

Old school smooth lip Globe alloys look the part as does the front and rear spoilers and bold side stripes with the legendary Super Roos!

A clean survivor, and a good example of a older refurbishment of a good old car, not a full blown concourse restoration that is now too precious to use, but baring in mind it was refreshed over thirty years ago and never actually required fully restoring, it's still doing very well and is simply just a very nice usable example of a highly desirable legendary Super Roo!

A very hard car to replace today, and they are certainly not making any more....
