The unmistakable timeless and iconic styling of the 69 Fastback, undeniably one of the most desirable Mustangs of all time!

This magnificent 69 Fastback has been the subject of a recent cosmetic restoration completed locally on what was a very honest old car.

Known to us since originally arriving on our shores, this local example has recently been completed and fully complied by its passionate owner, sadly a change in circumstances now requires a reluctant sale.

Decoding as a factory M code 351 4V car this 69 is also believed to have started life as an original GT making it a very rare car today, with only 5,396 GT examples produced for 1969 compared to some 71,458 Mach 1s for the same year.

The sunburnt original body was very clean and straight when this car arrived here in NZ , so only required a decent detail and general panel alignment before being refinished in the stunning metallic turquoise with GT black outs as it is presented today.

The bright work and trim is all in very nice order being a mix of mostly original fittings and some replacement chrome where required which all comes together to enhance the overall package.

The sweet running 351 residing in the engine bay is coupled to an automatic transmission and on into a nine inch diff while factory power steering and power disc brakes all come together to make for a pleasant authentic early Muscle Car driving experience.

The original black interior is finished in the desirable Deluxe style, so the wood grain accents on the dash and doors are present along with the full length centre console and this example also has the desirable sports steering wheel and in dash rev counter gauge package.

Old school genuine Centre line alloys are a real blast from the past and have apparently been on this car a very long time, and although no longer a correct in all respects matching numbers example for the purest, this Fastback is still a very nice example of the breed and it's hard to deny the 69 Fastback was and still is one of the most aggressive looking cars to come out of the US in this period, they simply just look fast standing still!
