This super aggressive looking Muscle Car has an unmistakable presence and really looks like it means serious business...
Restored a few years ago and still presenting exceptionally well today, this stunning Camaro is pretty much everything you could ever hope to get in a second gen car, it has the highly desirable R/S option with the split front bumpers, round park flashers, and endura nose cone, along with the SS option including the 12 bolt LSD posi diff, and what would have originally been the 300 Hp small block V8.
This example retains the #3970014 casting number engine block which decodes as a period correct 300 hp LA Camaro engine, and is believed to be the original unit, It's been enhanced quite a bit, having been stroked out to 383 cubic inches, and fitted with a decent cam shaft, Street Dominator alloy manifold, 650 Holley, and Hooker headers, and is now performing well beyond its original spec....
The body appears very solid and straight with really nice panel fitment, and an all steel cowl induction style hood gives an even more menacing look to an already mean profile, while the paintwork is very nice, finished in the original Shadow Grey metallic as per the cowl tag, with the addition of black Z28 style run way stripes gracing the sleek and brutally stylish bodywork.
The interior has been completely restored in the original colour, and is period correct retaining the traditional 70 only low back seating with lift up headrests, while the dash houses a full complement of instruments including the desirable rev counter and 150 Mph Speedo. The balance of the interior is completely refinished too with new seat covers, crash pad, head liner, rubber kit, door trims, and plush pile carpeting.
Adding to already aggressive stance of this traditional Muscle Car are a magnificent set of American racing style Torque Thrust alloys with a huge polished offset shod with 315x17 rear and
275 front tires, which with a low and menacing over all profile finish the package off to perfection.
A pleasure to drive with plenty of power on tap refreshingly this Camaro still retains that classic Second Gen feel and ride, having been tied down nicely with a Hotchkiss heavy duty front sway bar, and factory power steering and disc brakes.
These second gen Camaros are starting to gain real momentum in value now, and are becoming highly collectable stateside, which means they won't be getting any easier to find, or cheaper to buy anytime soon, so now's the time.....
