A very rare example of a dear old survivor VG Valiant that thankfully never ended up like most did, which was becoming a Street Stock at the local Speedway !

This remarkable survivor has lived a very different life than that, and it shows.

Originally sold new to Fendalton Christchurch on the 10th of September 1970 with the first owner retained this prized possession for the next 30+ years before it went to its second owner who also clearly appreciated the condition, and kept it for another long period of time before our vendor chanced upon her just over a decade ago.

He couldnt believe his eyes when he saw the car for the first time, with this neat old VG showing what is believed to be a genuine 51,000 miles according the registration register recorded over th last 50 + years, and the way the interior presents, and its overall condition it would certainly appear to be correct.

The body presents very well with no obvious damage or previous repairs evident, and the panels all line up well with decent shut lines as they would have back in 1970.

Painted in one of the best colours of the range this VG still turns heads today in her stunning turquois metallic , with the paint still presenting well with the odd mark and blemish as would be expected for the age, and it would appear she may have had a partial closed door repaint earlier in its life due to the metallic failing which was very common.

The first of the iconic Hemi powered cars the original 245 seems happy in its work, and as they were almost indestructible should continue to behave itself coupled up to the traditional column three speed manual transmission. This old Val is a real old time warp to drive, taking you straight back to a simpler time.

The interior is exceptional for an unrestored almost 55 year old car, and confirms the life this old darling has enjoyed, while the drive reminds you why these cars were so popular back in the day.

Nice chrome and trim round out the package and with the original wheels caps and bands still fitted this one really hasnt changed much in that last 54 years!

A lovely old survivor and represented of a time when people treated the car they had worked hard for with respect, and they lasted the distance!
