Britain's answer to the iconic Mustang, the Capri was an instant sales success that would go on to become one of the most instantly recognisable cars of its time, earning an enviable motor racing pedigree throughout the world.

This survivor 70 3.0 V6 basically ticks all the boxes options wise in 1970, being the popular "GT-XL" spec it was also optioned with the "R" for "Rally Pac" package which had the factory blackouts on the bonnet, sills, and rear valance, leather bound sports steering wheel, leather bound gear knob, and map reading light, along with the factory option driving lamps, which remarkably are the correct genuine and unique fitment to this example, which are now virtually impossible to find today.

Being an early production build car this example has the short lived dummy air intake hood scoop in the rear of the power bulge, which is a nice touch, and again very difficult to find today.

The clean black and cloth interior has all the correct gauges present including the 140 mph Speedo, original console with clock, and the factory push button radio which is still in working order! the usual cracked and damaged interior consistent with old Capri's is no issue for this example and although some minor refurbishment has been carried out in the past the interior still reflects the story of a very well cared for example.

The genuine and unique V6 body shows no signs of previous damage, rust, or previous repairs, and was known to have had a full bare metal repaint in the original Rally Red approximately 20 years ago, being maintained in very nice condition ever since,

The early style Rostyle wheels really look the part on this old Capri, and give a great period look to this genuine classic British Muscle Car.

A very hard car to find today in this condition, nobody wanted these cars when the Japanese imports started arriving here in the eighties, many got lost to race tracks and drag strips, repowered and written off, gone forever... and as such complete unmolested V6 Capri's are now highly sought-after, this is the dead right early car, in the dead right spec and colour, and represents a rare opportunity to own a genuine survivor, simply a very usable and enjoyable fun car to drive with great period performance and an absolutely magic exhaust note!
