How cool is this neat old piece of Kiwiana! The good old HT Kingswood!

This remarkable old survivor has been trundling around Christchurch almost all of its life, and in that time has only covered what is believed to be a genuine 77,000 miles in its almost fifty years of trusty service!

A good solid honest old car, this example has clearly been treated very well over the decades, and has clearly lived a lot of its time indoors, as she has not succumbed to the dreaded rot that usually got these cars.

The body on this example is in really nice original order, and with the exception of little parking dents around the exterior and a few chips and marks here and there as would be expected at this age, the body and paint is in lovely original condition, and still retains a decent shine, with solid clean sills and wheel arches that still display original spot welds, and very clean door shuts and solid inners.

The interior is also very original, and the inner door trims, carpets, dash top and seating all represent a life of respect with only minor wear, and again display consistent with the low mileage, while a nice CD player is tucked under the dash for those cruising tunes, leaving the old push button unit pride of place in the dash.

The trusty old bullet proof 186 ci Red Six appears to have had work too, it's been meticulously detailed, and runs beautifully coupled up to the Power Glide transmission, and this example also has power disc brakes, so is a nice user friendly package over all, with nice road manners.

The boot still retains the original rubber matt, and still has the original old paint underneath, again confirming that this is a good solid old unmolested survivor.

Nice chrome and trim complement the body on this old gem, and give a nice finish to top off what is simply a lovely old Kiwi new Australian classic.
