Recently imported from Townsville Australia and handpicked as a fully ground up restored replica this example has certainly and quite obviously had some serious investment in both time and money lavished on it, the body is beautiful with exceptionally good paintwork, and an amazing interior, most of which appears to be new or fully refurbished.

Testament to the stunning presentation of this XY is the fact that is just recently cleaned out the trophy cabinet at the Falcon nationals against some fierce competition, in the replica GT category, winning 1st outright.

The impressive appearance is backed up by equally impressive driveline, incorporating a rebuilt square block 351 Cleveland punched out to 408 cubic inches, with 2V competition alloy heads, a Funnel web high performance manifold, roller rockers etc etc, backed up by a rebuilt manualised automatic transmission with a high stall, through to a Tru Trac 9 inch, and the impressive package is reputed to be pushing a conservative 550 HP.
Put it this way, it certainly gets moving very quickly down the tarmac and gives the impression of a serious big torque grunter lifting the big heavy nose up with ease at open road speed...

The impressive package has remarkable manners for the power it obviously has on tap, and is surprising good to drive with a nice tight feel and good feedback to the driver, which is quite a hard combination to get just right.

A full new interior kit has been fitted throughout with a full complement of GT equipment including the dash and steering wheel, and is a very nice comfortable place to sit back and listen to that big angry Clevo thumping out its magnificent tune.

A new set of 5 slots and red walls hark back to the 70s, and the Polar white with orange stripes is really refreshing and a scheme that suits this car to perfection, giving this example an undeniable 70s Muscle Car appeal.
