The original Gone in Sixty Seconds style Mustang!

This magnificent MACH 1 has had a small fortune spent on a very thorough recent restoration and presents beautifully today, having been used sparingly since.

Starting with a very solid original car this classic Mustang was stripped back to bare metal and was found to be exceptionally clean with none of the usual horrors that generally present themselves once back to bare steel.

Once the clean body was prepared and the panels aligned properly a new coat of Bright Red 2 Pac was applied to a very high standard, and the factory Mach 1 black outs added, along with the correct matt black side winder stripes, the end result is an exceptionally nice example of this brutal looking model which presents very well with excellent straight body work adding to the overall aggressive appeal.

The original interior was still in very decent shape so was cleaned up and retained with some minor restoration also carried out to bring it up to speed such as new door trims, a full new rubber kit, and some basic cosmetics.

The engine is the traditional 351 4 Barrel Cleveland, and this has been fully rebuilt locally at great expense with receipts in hand, and has travelled around 1500 miles since being completed. The rebuild also included the heads being fully rebuilt, and fitted with hardened valve seats for unleaded fuel, while sitting on top is a brand new Holley, which along with an Edelbrock manifold, and new tuned length headers all come together to give the package a claimed 330 hp on tap, with plenty of usable power yet still retaining very nice road manners.

The rebuilt engine runs into a fully rebuilt FMX Automatic transmission, and on into a nine inch diff, while power disc brakes, and power steering add to the driving appeal, and make this example very user friendly.

The factory Air Conditioning unit has also been fully rebuilt at great expense and is now fully functional as well, and along with the factory tinted glass makes the interior a nice inviting space to sit back and cruise on a hot summers day.

A nicely put together package this stunning Mach 1 really looks the part, and with the new stainless steel 3 inch twin exhaust system leaves no doubt you are driving a traditional Seventies Muscle Car!

A lot of time and money has been spent on this gorgeous Mach 1, all of it spent locally and done properly, and this example presents today as it is listed on its original door tag, which is how it left the factory in 71.

Not an easy car to find in this condition today, and all the hard works done.
