Originally sold by us as a fresh handpicked US import for its then lady owner 15 years ago, this stunning Stingray has been retained by the same one and only South Island NZ owner and is still showing only 67,000 miles!
After 15 years this is still probably the most original unmolested C3 Corvette we have ever seen, it was then and is now a remarkable survivor, and it is an absolute pleasure to bring it to the market again today.
A very well optioned example this January 72 built car came with power windows, A/C, Astro Ventilation, Tilt/ Tele, removable rear window, power brakes and power steering, and of course the LS-5 454 cubic inch Big Block rated with 460 ft lbs of torque!
The beautiful original no hit body retains all of its original bonding strips and everything is still as it should be with regards to over all panel fitment, with no evidence of any cracking or previous body repairs of any sort.
Lovely crisp Classic White paintwork is complemented by the super cool looking blue interior, and the package has a very sharp refreshing look over all.
The drive line is all matching numbers, from the Big Block to the TH400, and the engine retains its original manifolds, exhaust and intake, correct carb, correct braided HT leads, plug heat shielding, distributor shielding, twin snorkel air cleaner, and even the factory A/C is still connected and not locked up.
The remarkable original interior tells the true story of this fantastic survivor, the seat covers are still the originals, as are the door trims, carpets, dash top etc, and even the original clock still works!
All of the chrome and trim appears to be original fitment, is in very nice order, and there is no evidence of any reproduction parts having been fitted to this one.
A retro fitted modern stereo has been installed but the original radio is retained with the car.
A very hard car to replace today, and a model that marked the end of an era, the last of the true chrome bumper cars, and a factory loaded Big Block, you would go a long way to find a cleaner more honest original and desirable C3 Stingray than this one.
