The Mighty XA Falcon V8!

Everyone over 40 years of age has a story about one of these old girls, Dad had one, an uncle, a mate, you name it they were once everywhere...

Today a good XA is very hard to find, and they are now more desirable than they ever where!

This example is quite a rare car in the fact it was sold here new but originally imported built up from Australia and was born a base V8 car.

Having no doubt served her time as daily transport in the early decades this one manged to survive the perils of time and has more recently been treated to a full panel and paint to a very nice standard, and has been pretty much left alone not being transformed into yet another GT replica.

The body presents well with a clean finish while the beautiful metallic blue paintwork sparkles nicely and really looks the part.

Residing in the refurbished engine bay is a nicely detailed and very responsive 302 Windsor running a new Holley on top of a Street Warrior intake which is in turn coupled to an automatic transmission and being equipped with power steering this lovely old XA has very decent road manners is a very nicely balanced nice handling package.

The interior is largely original with some restoration having been completed where necessary with new carpets and cloth seat inserts etc, and this one is set up for full blown cruising with the factory bench seating and column shift automatic.

A sight tint on the windows is a nice touch and the big Streeter Show wheels in 18 inch with low profile rubber is a popular look without running the ride these Falcons where so popular for.

Decent chrome and trim complement the simple understated appearance of this smooth and clean XA and when you start looking around its fairly evident that this was obviously quite an original survivor prior to having all of the money spent on it by its most recent caretaker.

A lot of money has been spent on this old Coon, but not so much that you would be scared to use it, so if you have been looking for a clean XA here it is!

A very usable and sought after true Aussie classic with that unmistakable Kiwiana appeal, and a great old school cruiser that will look right at home at your local car event this summer!
