What an absolute stunner!

A beautiful older restoration of what was clearly a good solid car has been performed here with a lot of work having been carried out by the well respected Burkes Metal Works in Christchurch a few years ago, including some neat subtle body mods, and the quality result has stood the test of time, and still looks absolutely superb today.

The body presents very well with nice panel fitment, and the high impact Hugger Orange paintwork is in really nice order with the exception of only a few small blemishes from being driven and enjoyed, while this very rare genuine GTS refreshingly still retains all of its original GM body tags, confirming that it started life as a genuine Melbourne built HQ V8 GTS Monaro Coupe.

The heavily detailed immaculate de loomed engine bay is home to a very lively and well detailed 327 ci Small block Chevy coupled to a 4 speed Saginaw gearbox and on into a bullet proof Ford diff, this combination along with power disc brakes and power steering make this GTS a really pleasurable drive.

The interior is gorgeous in deep black vinyl in the traditional GTS style and the original GTS full instrumentation style sports dash layout with the machine turned finish is still present and correct, along with the original centre console, encasing a cool Hurst Pool ball Shifter.

All windows roll up and down nicely, the glass is mint, and a new rubber kit was also included in the resto when it was originally carried out.

With the benefit of being driven over the years and not hidden, is that everything has settle in nicely making this example a well sorted turnkey cruiser, it has great manners on the road sending nice feedback to the driver for a lowered car, without the usual banging and clonking that usually effects the ride.

The detail in this example is true to the period with plenty of chrome, braided line, and polished stainless and alloy throughout the engine compartment, making this GTS one you would be proud to open the bonnet on at a local car show.

Beautiful exterior chrome and stainless trim round out the package, and make this now rare survivor one you would be proud to cherish for the future.
