Fully restored over the last few years with an obvious serious investment in both time and money brings to the market this stunning example of the iconic HQ Monaro Coupe.

Completely striped down to a bare shell as a starting point, this genuine Melbourne built 81237 LS V8 Monaro has been the subject of an extensive recent rebuild and has been sympathetically rebuilt with attention to detail and panel fitment far better now than when it was originally built, and the result is quite impressive, this gorgeous Coupe has really nice body work, and is finished in an exceptionally nice coat of Chateau Mauve that sparkles beautifully in the sun, and captures the stunning timeless lines of this Big Coupe to perfection.

The lively 308 V8 residing in the engine bay is performing very well, shifting through an original 4 speed manual transmission, and on to the original Holden V8 diff, and the entire package feels very well sorted having covered a few miles since being completed, with the bugs ironed out nicely, and is a pleasure to drive with excellent manners on the road, and a nice user friendly feel.

The interior has been the subject of a major restoration too, and is presented in an original Antique Saddle tone with the factory wood accents of the high grade LS model, presenting nicely over all, and complementing the stunning exterior.

Nice chrome and trim complement the overall exterior package, and finish this example off nicely while a nice set of proper original restored Rostyle wheels with decent rubber really look the part and give it that factory stock appearance, while still letting you know it's a proper old school Australian Muscle Car!

These HQ Coupes are extremely desirable today with prices reflecting the serious amount of money that is now being invested to bring one to this condition, and as such are now commanding very large sums in their home land, and we have a lot less of them here in NZ....so if you're bored with the money in the bank, this would be a pretty safe bet...and a lot more fun to look at!
