Hows this for a genuine authentic old survivor car!

This unbelievably original and totally unmolested Charger is quite an incredible old car.
Sold new in Dunedin from J R Day Ltd the big Chrysler and Hillman dealers of the day, and delivered brand new on the 19th of April 1972 to its no doubt very excited first owner, this old darling stayed with its original owner for almost 40 years!
The clean solid old body is testament to the very cherished existence this example has enjoyed, and incredibly this lovely old car still retains quite a bit of its original Caramel paintwork, with all of the inner areas being original and what appears to have only been some relatively minor exterior touch ups a long time ago.
The body is very straight and presents very well with no evidence of rust repairs, which is remarkable for an old Charger, as these cars were basically born rusty!
The running gear consists of the original numbers matching 265 Hemi engine coupled to the automatic transmission and on into the LSD rear end, as per the only factory spec for a NZ built VH 770 Charger.
The interior is all original and in absolutely lovely condition too, with all original carpet, and only very minimal wear from 50+ years of faithful service.
All chrome and brightwork is in really nice order, and everything is still present and correct, even the original radio blank and the proudly worn rear window dealer sticker are still in place!

These cars created quite a stir when first released here new in NZ and they remained the only Full Size Coupe ever produced here new by the big three, going down in history as a huge sales success and being held in high regard in both local motorsport with the GTX Series, and in the hearts of the Kiwis throughout the country as big capable stylish daily work horses.
This example would have to be one of the nicest Chryslers from the period we have ever had the pleasure of marketing, it absolutely looks like the day it rolled out of the dealership right down the original unique sports wheels, caps and bands, and it really takes you back to a much simpler time when your sitting behind that super cool steering wheel cruising along effortlessly out on the open road.

Showing 62k miles and retaining her original hand books and service booklets, and even the original ownership papers showing only the first owner accompanying the sale of this lovely old Charger.
Doubtful you would find another example like this one today, according to the Hey Charger book there were only 1344 770 Chargers built in the VH Range here in NZ by Todds in Petone, and it would be a fair assumption that over half of those would now be long gone, with a lot of the remaining probably modified, so this is a very rare opportunity.
They are only ever original once..and this is exactly what they looked like.
