How's this for the ultimate survivor!

This gorgeous one family owned NZ new XA Fairmont V8 was purchased new by a Christchurch Family from Hutchinson Motors the Big local Ford Dealers on the 6-12-73 and has remained with the same family its entire life! yes, that's almost 50 Years!

This amazing old time capsule is still wearing what appears to be almost all of its original paintwork, having only had a couple of minor touch ups many many years ago.

As a result of being garaged its entire life the paintwork still retains a pretty decent shine from its rare for the period metallic Pacific Blue hue, and although a couple of areas of clear have now crazed as was customary for the period, over all she still presents very well.

Unusually this Fairmont never received a vinyl top from new, and it's all the better for it showing none of the usual bubbles around the window openings, and it looks fantastic in the one colour both top and bottom.

Running a super smooth 302 V8 into the Automatic transmission with power brakes and power steering this example is absolutely beautiful to drive and takes you right back to the good old seventies!

The engine bay is totally original right down to the original two barrel carb, on the original inlet manifold along with the original exhaust manifolds, it's just never been modified, and drives so tight it is absolutely lovely.

The interior is in remarkable original condition, and everything is in its place and just as it should be, with the original carpets still in good order and no evidence of any trim work having ever been previously carried out.

Showing 105k miles, this would have to be one of the best original examples of this now rare bird available anywhere today, they are only original once, and you simply can't duplicate it again, if you like good honest original unmolested cars then this one is well worth a look, you would go a long way to find another one in even close to this sort of original condition.

All of the original hand books and service books are present and the original ownership papers accompany this old darling, and it's even still got the original rear window sticker and Hutchies pamphlets from delivery!

Well worth a look if your after a nice usable investment classic, these old Fords almost never come up for sale now, and with the prices of anything out of Australia with chrome bumpers showing very strong growth, you simply couldn't go wrong..
