This is the ultimate old Kiwi survivor XA Sedan!

This lovely old XA is a genuine two owner Canterbury car that is showing a recorded 122k genuine miles!

Originally sold brand new out of Sockburn Motors in Christchurch the big local Ford Dealers, this stunning Vermillion Fire XA was delivered to rural Sheffield in Canterbury on 10/10/73 and faithfully served as daily transport for the next twenty years with its first owner before being relegated to the barn when its replacement was purchased, it was then discovered covered in dust by its next custodian on a visit to the farm, and after haggling a deal this old darling was pressed back into service, and then kept by the second and current owner for the next 23 years!

A lovely example of what was once just daily transport this old XA has plenty of patina and scars around the paintwork but it proudly wears them like badges of honour and in our opinion looks just right as she is!

The clean original body is straight and presents as a good solid very dry example with the well-worn paintwork, but you can see exactly what youre getting warts and all, the door shuts engine bay and boot areas are unbelievably honest, and remarkably original, so if you were looking for one of these to restore you couldnt get any better.

The engine runs like a top and the overall driving experience really does take you back to how these cars would have been new, she drives beautifully and is testament to how nice these old Falcons were for the time. The engine bay shows plenty of signs of regular maintenance with new hoses and ancillaries on the engine along with a recently replaced radiator and new headers.

The interior is in remarkable original condition for a fifty year old car, and still sports the original carpets and seating and an unmarked dashtop with all original door trims and fittings still in place, even the dealer fitted push button radio is still pride of place!

A set of old school period Triden alloy wheels where fitted long ago by the second owner, and retained with the car are the original hubcaps and first issue black licence plates.

You would go a long way to find a more honest example of a true survivor XA Falcon that still presents in its true form, a lot of this car has never been touched and her 50 years of faithful service are proudly displayed for all to see.
