This pretty little NZ new Facelift Mk 1 Capri is a gorgeous looking car finished in stunning Daytona Yellow with complementing black trim, and according to the known history has been a Canterbury car its entire life having been sold brand new from Hutchinson Motors the big Christchurch Ford Dealer in February 1974, prior to enjoying very long ownership in the North Canterbury area over the last several decades.

The clean body has been refinished in the original colour while the engine bay and inner areas remain largely untouched further confirming the remarkably good condition of the body in general.
The front guards have never been replaced which is rare for a Capri of this vintage, and there is no obvious evidence of major previous repairs having been carried out.

The interior is in very good order with only the usual wear you would expect at this age, but still presents very well over all and is simply a neat place to sit back and enjoy the ride, looking out over the power bulge bonnet.

Decent trim and chrome and a nice set of original styled steel wheels finish this Capri off nicely, while period correct GT extras have been fitted by a previous owner to spice up the appearance package.

The smooth 1600 OHC engine seems happy in its work and the shift through the 4 speed is clean and simple making this a very enjoyable and affordable classic with decent road manners.

Taking into account the usual couple of misreads in the milage recordings at W.O.F time, the history appears to indicate that this Capri may have only travelled 107 kms in its life, which would be quite remarkable for over 50 years of age if that is the case, and to be fair some of the interior would point to a low milage car as well, either way regardless of the true milage its one of the better ones left thats for sure!
