By the time 1974 rolled around most manufacturers had succumbed to the crippling fuel crisis of the early Seventies, and the Muscle Car was in serious danger of becoming extinct, but this was not so at Pontiac... they were staunchly going against the grain and still producing proper Big Block Muscle Cars !

This stunning looking example of the iconic Formula 400 is a genuine old survivor delivering a good strong performance from the very lively matching numbers 400 ci engine, through to a rebuilt TH400 auto, and being equipped with factory optioned power steering and power disc brakes, it's an absolute pleasure to drive.

The clean solid body is straight and tidy, with no evidence of major repairs having ever been carried out, while the clean tidy Buccaneer Red paintwork complements the lines of this staunch classic Muscle Car, and the classic twin snorkel Ram-Air hood gives this example a serious on road presence.

The original interior although very honest was starting to show its age, so a brand new totally correct interior kit was ordered and it has recently been fitted with the addition of new seat jackets, door trims and carpets, along with a new rubber kit, ensuring that the complete interior now presents exceptionally well.

The overall package throughout presents very well with an authentic period Muscle Car look and feel, the engine bay is tidy and functional, as is the trunk, and being set off with the factory Rally wheels caps and bands, the entire package looks period perfect.

This is a very nice clean example of this rare machine, a genuine turnkey and drive anywhere classic that won't break the bank, these cars are exceptionally good value for the money, and this is a good honest one, you simply couldn't go wrong.
