This June 74 Built GT was sold new in NZ and delivered brand new in April 1975 from Stevens Motors Ford Ltd to its first owner a Doctor from Lower Hut, and has only had five private owners in total since then according the original ownership papers, giving this genuine car great provenance.
This remarkable survivor was recently released from long term ownership where it was stored away with the same doting local Canterbury owner for almost 40 years!
Showing a low circa 160k kms and with a clean and fully recorded history available, the overall condition and drive would confirm this is probably correct, as this is quite simply one of the nicest unmolested GT Falcons we have ever driven, and this matching numbers factory 4 speed car still smells new inside!
The body presents to be in remarkable original condition with no obvious evidence of any previous repairs, and the paintwork represents an example which has enjoyed a cherished existence, displaying only the minor chips and blemishes you would expect from a 50 year old car, while the interior generally still presents like a car less than half the age.

The body is very straight and solid, and everything is in place and where it should be including the bright stainless wheel arch trim, and this GT looks absolutely stunning Finished in the iconic U Code Burnt Orange complemented by the gorgeous and totally 70s combination of Walnut Glow metallic accents around the bottom sections.
The boot area and engine bay are both clean and original and this lovely old GT retains its five original 12 slots, caps and correct genuine bands, and has remarkably never had the guards rolled.
The correct date coded numbers matching engine runs beautifully with plenty of no fuss torque and shifts through a very smooth and quiet previously rebuilt four speed gearbox then on into the disc brake nine inch rear end.
This delightful Falcon GT thinks its a Fairmont, it drives and behaves more like an LTD than a GT and it really is just a lovely old thing.
Original ownership papers hand book and service books accompany the sale and it even still has the original steering lock instruction sleeve fitted to the drivers sun visor!
You will go a long way to find a better genuine numbers matching GT than this example, absolutely no grey areas with this one, and there never has been.
