The super cool looking Short Wheel Base Step Side Square Body Pick Up, A true American Icon!

These hard working trucks have proved themselves to be a tough and rugged work horse over the decades, and the ones that were lucky enough to survive have become quite rare and desirable now as a classic old school Pick Up, with most examples simply having been abused to death.

This example is a 77 Cheyenne model so as well as having arguably the coolest grille and headlamp style, it also has a few nice options like power brakes, power steering, tinted glass and a Deluxe interior package, so would have been a flash truck in its day, and it's pretty much presented in a survivor driver style today with general ware and tear as would be expected for an unrestored but maintained and daily driven classic Pick Up.

Mechanically this old truck performs well having had the engine rebuilt in the not too distant past by a local old school mechanic, and still performs very well with a nice shifting automatic transmission, decent power brakes, and power steering all coming together to make a surprisingly well mannered driver that generally drives a lot better than you would expect.

The body appears genuine and solid with the paintwork which has clearly been on the truck for many years starting to show its age with most panels displaying crazing chipping and minor bumps and bruises, while the honest interior is also comfortably age worn, however it really all just adds to the driver quality appeal and character of this cool old example as it still generally presents well over all, and you certainly wouldn't be scared to put this one to work or throw the dog in the cab and the dirt bike on the back, because she won't mind any of that!

A great old work horse and a rare body styled truck to keep using as it has become accustomed, or an honest genuine base for a build of that special truck you have been thinking about building...either way you couldn't go wrong with this one.
