The HX Monaro GTS !

This neat old NZ new Monaro GTS has managed to survive the decades largely unmolested still retaining the correct Holden V8 style power train!

The HX GTS was a neat combination of style and performance in the late seventies and this car would have really stood out in bright mandarin orange with the rare orange interior trim with the classic red-back bucket seats, neat GTS steering wheel, and full sports instrumentation.

The HX GTS had unique paintwork and decals which now look very period cool, and combined with the front and rear spoilers and trade mark honey comb wheels this model really looked the part.

This example appears solid and straight with clean honest paintwork that is starting to show a little age yet still presents very well, with an authentic survivor look, and overall has a neat well cared for original appearance,

Mechanically this Monaro seems very strong with what is believed to be a stroked 308 residing in the engine bay, the engine certainly seems strong for a stock 308 but still retains nice manners running into a standard T-Bar auto trans which shifts nice and smooth giving an overall great performance.

These late seventies Monaros represent a lot of classic Australian Muscle Car for a very reasonable amount of money, and with the earlier cars serious investment potential now well known these Monaros should go on to become rewarding and very usable future investments.

Not an easy car to find in this condition today, well worth a look if your wanting to get into the collectable Muscle Car market on a bit of a budget.
