Now this is a very rare find....A genuine and totally un molested survivor XC Ute! Not many XC Utes have lived to tell the story...

This old darling has been very lucky and has clearly lived a well cherished existence over the last 45 years. Obviously doted on by her long term caretakers she has only travelled a documented 160k kms, and came from the Dry North Canterbury region having lived with the first owner 10 years the second over 33 years!

To say this example has had a very good life would be an understatement, to find an X series passenger car in this order would be hard enough to find but a Ute in this condition almost impossible, by nature they were intended to work for a living and were worked hard, however this one was one of the few lucky ones, making this a very rare old Ford today.

Running the trusty super smooth and quiet 4.1 cross flow six coupled to a super smooth Automatic on the column, this XC is a real pleasure to drive, and is super tight with nice road manners.

The body appears very solid and a lot of it still appears to be finished in the original paintwork with only a few minor touch up evident if you know what to look for, tail gate etc, but overall it is very clean with nice paintwork and presents pretty much just like it would have back in 78.

The interior is very original, the factory Ford Radio still crackles into life and everything inside the cabin presents as if it were half the age, even the original hand book is still in place in the glove box!

The deck area is in very good order as most of its life this Ute has had a canopy fitted.

The chrome and bumpers are in excellent order and the grille is almost perfect.

A lovely driving smooth old survivor that really does drive and present better than it should, you would go a long way to find a better one of these Utes anywhere in NZ....

Still more than capable of doing hard days work, but also just a nice thing to have tucked away to use on the weekend coffee runs, or as a light duty semi-retired work mate!
