What an absolute old darling this clean NZ new survivor is!

According to the original service booklets and original hand book retained with this example this lovely old HZ Premier was sold and delivered brand new by Ormond's Motors of Gisborne on the 21 of March 1980 and as of today is showing a mere 135k kms with a clean mileage history recorded on the LTSA data base which is very unusual at this age, so may well be showing the genuine mileage, as she certainly drives nice and tight.

Ordered in the popular and very striking Medium Blue metallic this Premier really looks the part, and it appears that a decent quality closed door repaint has been carried out at some point in the past which still presents very well today with the exception of the odd mark and blemish as would be expected at this age for a car that's been driven and enjoyed.

The body is tidy and straight with only a couple of little spots showing its general age, but all in all this is a lovely unmolested old car that has clearly lived a pretty decent well respected existence over the last forty two years.

The interior is very original and also very tidy, with the factory bucket seats and centre console still taking pride of place with factory cloth inserts in the seats and wood grain accents in the dash, while the windows have also been lightly tinted for further comfort and protection.

Nice chrome and trim and the big factory protection mouldings down the sides give a smart over all classy appeal and sitting on a polished set of 17 inch American Racing wheels give the old girl a bit of a classic muscle look without ruining the overall style.

The engine is the original bullet proof trusty red six coupled to a T Bar shifted automatic with factory power steering and the big deal of the day "Radial Tuned suspension" all coming together and making a nice easy to live with comfortable family cruiser out of this neat old Prem.

These last of the old school 70s Holden's have shown themselves to be remarkable investments as time has gone by and this is a good honest car that would be hard to replace today, so if you're after a good honest old Kiwiana cruiser that won't break the bank and will reward you well if kept in the condition it's become accustomed to, you couldn't really go far wrong here..
