You dont find many of these that havent been worked to death by now..and to find another genuine one of one factory optioned S PAC model sold here in NZ new would be almost impossible..

This remarkable Ute was delivered new brand new to The Ford Motor Company in Auckland NZ as a special order and was shipped direct from Broadmeadows Australia fully built up, so it must have raised quite the stir when it arrived on our shores, loaded with options we could only dream of compared to the very basic examples that we got here new.

According to the original documentation and history file retained with this GL Ute it was ordered as a true One Of One build with the following options.

W- Code Alloy head 11 4.1 Cross Flow engine
L- 4 speed floor shift manual transmission
F - Moca Brown Metallic paintwork.
C- Chamois colour interior.
06 - Power Steering.
40- Integrated Air Conditioning.
48- Option 48 Sports Pack (S Pac)
45- Limited Slip Differential
81- Class 1 towing package

This very cool Ute would have certainly been a bit of a stand out back in the day, and has luckily survived the decades to tell the tale.

Longterm previous ownership no doubt helped this example survive, and a decent cosmetic refresh to bring this old work horse back up to speed have meant it will now most likely carry on its journey in relative piece with its hard working days now well beyond it.
Part of the history file records confirm a previous engine rebuild, gearbox rebuild, diff work, a recondition Webber carb, and the A/C system rebuild, all within the last 10 or so years,
With the milage recorded at the time showing limited use since.

The body presents well, and the paintwork although older now still shines well and stands proud, the engine bay and deck areas have also had a decent cosmetic going over at some point too, along with the immaculate interior, so the general condition is very good for a now 42 year old Ute!

All of the unique S Pac decals and stripes complement the neat metallic paintwork, along with the factory driving lights and front spoiler, and the correct wheels with red wall tires all add to the sporty appeal.

A very usable classic Ute that drives like a car, and one that wouldnt look out of place at your local car show, and believe me it is still more than capable of turning a few heads!
Sure to be a wise future investment based on any of the earlier Falcon models, and this would certainly be a lot rarer than most.
