This super cool 3 series is the ultimate wolf in sheep's clothing....
Starting with what was clearly a very nice NZ new 325 two door this locally built car has had a small fortune invested in both time and resources to build a car that BMW themselves would have probably even been impressed by back in the day.

The running gear nestled into this impressive beast is a staunch 1UZ-FE 32 Valve Quad Cam Fuel injected 4.0 Lexus V8 ( which was removed from a vehicle believed to have travelled 90k kms) this impressive unit is then coupled up to a w58 5 speed manual Lexus Gearbox, with a new heavy duty triple brass button clutch unit, with high pressure braided lines, and a new master cylinder, then on into a up rated LSD diff, while the hand built custom headers and a full custom exhaust system play a simply magnificent tune!
The entire engine management system is controlled by a G3 ECU with a link computer tuned by NZEFI, and the clutch is a new heavy duty triple brass button unit, with high pressure braided clutch lines, and a new master cylinder.
The suspension has also been heavily upgraded and rebuilt using high grade Nolathane bushings, White line heavy duty sway bars front and rear, with solid sub frame bushes, up rated shocks, offset front control arm bushes, and front and rear strut braces, with the whole package then lowered down on a rare set of imported German 16x9 Keskin alloys and Toyo semi slick tires.
The interior is nice and tidy with custom race inspired front seating to hold the occupants firmly in place, and is fitted out with a decent sound system and tidy trim, while a factory fitted wind back sunroof and tinted glass round out the interior package and make a nice place to sit back hold on and enjoy the ride!
The very honest straight body is fitted with a full AC Schnitzer ground effects body kit, and is finished in a lovely coat of the original silver blue metallic.
Obviously a good car to begin with, all of the trim and fittings are well above average for the age, and the package still presents very well over all.

Make no mistake this is a serious little performer that is exceptionally well balanced, it goes stops handles and brakes far better than was ever intended, yet retains that quality well built BMW appeal that these cars have become famous for.
The classic E30 series is now becoming the coveted classic it had always deserved to be, and although this example is far from standard this one is a whole lot of fun which would be well suited to club or track days, hill climbs, or just very capable very quick little road car that performs well above its pay grade!
